A portfolio of tourism and hospitality interventions across the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya — from new townships and knowledge cities to cave experiences and river trails, woven into one of India's most spectacular landscapes.
This body of work positions Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills as a world-class, ecologically grounded tourism destination — balancing visitor experience with the fragility of the landscape and the identity of the Khasi community.
Interventions span scales: new township and knowledge-city frameworks near Shillong, immersive cave and gorge experiences at Mawmluh and Cherrapunji, and river-trail infrastructure along the Umngot. Each is designed to read the terrain — its slopes, water, and forest — rather than impose on it.
As designer and 3D visualization lead, I developed the spatial frameworks and experiential renders that carried these proposals through client and government review.
