A district-scale civic framework reimagining Cloverdale, CA at the future terminus of the SMART rail line — three interdependent systems positioning transit infrastructure as the catalyst for small-town renewal.

As Urban Design Lead in a three-person UC Berkeley team, I conducted the GIS-based land use, infrastructure, and environmental systems analysis and designed the site-plan iterations, block structures, and urban-form strategies.
I structured a mobility hierarchy prioritizing pedestrian, bicycle, and transit systems, designed the public-realm network of plazas and civic anchors, and integrated climate-responsive strategies into the masterplan.
Three interdependent systems — the Station, the Connection, and the Plaza — reposition the SMART rail terminus as a catalyst for small-town renewal.
